I liked the set immensely the design as well as the sturdiness. However I should have realized that the all melamine plates etc are not created equal and I was disappointed that it was not microwaveable.

I really like this dinnerware set. The colors are so pretty. These are super lightweight yet, so sturdy. Just make sure you know – you can’t put these in the microwave. The only thing that would make these better would be if they came as a service for 6. These will literally be my everyday plates.

My dad has frequently complained about plates being too heavy, but I didn’t like serving food in disposable dishes all the time for the sake of their being lightweight. I hadn’t thought about melamine until I saw these, but I’m glad they showed up. My dad loves them, as they’re a beautiful pattern and are just the right size for his meals. More importantly, though, they’re lightweight and very resilient. I’ve dropped them numerous times (I confess, a couple of times might have just been for the sake of it, though they were empty at the time), and they suffered no damage, and my dad finds them easy to lift and hold, which was my main concern. Aside from microwaving, I may well be replacing all our dinnerware with these, because they’re perfectly suited to our needs, and the look is just our style.

I love the pattern on this set. I like that it is dishwasher safe. It seems to be good quality. However, I noticed a slight imperfections in the pattern on 2 separate plates, nothing major. I rated this product 4 stars because the price of a set is pricey for melamine.
