For what I paid I was very happy with this – after installing it. First impressions unboxing it weren’t stellar, but it quickly redeemed itself, more below. Excellent customer support, I reached out to request a new LED ‘bulb’ and they were super helpful.Pros: Easy install – replacing an existing ceiling fan from 10+ years ago took maybe an hour. Bright LED – old fan had 4x screw-in bulbs that were low wattage but provided a lot of light still, this is definitely on par, I would maybe compare to 3x 60w equivalent bulbs. DC motor is real, fan is totally silent, can be reversed using the software controller, uses so little energy I couldn’t even tell when it was on from looking at my home energy meter. Very powerful fan – I basically only use it on level 1 speed, and even that is a little powerful at times. And works with home assistant locally! Once Local Tuya was configured, adding this device was super easy – no manually configuring anything.Cons: My very first impression unboxing it, with the dark brown/black color combo at least, was that the dark brown ‘wood’ which was painted plastic, looked fake, but once it was fully assembled and put on the ceiling it looked great! Significantly better than my old fan. Considering what I paid though and everything it offers I’m still happy I bought it and saved the money I did, I plan to buy 3 more for the rest of my home for the price. My other complaint would be the 6 fan speeds do not have a huge range, from level 1 to level 6. Level 1 fan speed is rather high, I would have liked to see a slower level 1.Home Assistant Integration: use ‘Local Tuya’ integration, you may need HACS. I got a little help from a chatbot setting everything up, but was not hard. Once you have the Tuya IOT platform all setup and whatnot/linked to the Local Tuya integration, adding new devices is super easy, the first one may take 30-45 mins, but after that your second Local Tuya device will take just seconds. Commands respond in a fraction of a second, as one would expect with local integrations, and has been highly reliable.

Efficient and Easy to Install
Installation is pretty easy, in fact my wife completed the whole installation by herself. The blades and the housing for the LED are plastic which help keep the fixture from being too heavy. Once installed, I think the fan is pretty attractive and the LED produces a good amount of light and is also dimmable. The motor is quiet, and the fan moves a lot of air in a somewhat limited area so it may be better suited for a smaller room.My favorite feature is probably the ability to integrate with Google Home, I can easily operate the light and the fan remotely or using voice control. It can also be operated using an included remote control, but I for one enjoy shouting at Google to “turn on the ceiling light” or “set the fan speed to 6”.In the end, I’m pleased with the performance and price of the fan and would recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable ceiling fan for a bedroom.
