Heck yeah – this is an outstanding product. Full review below on features that are outstanding.
First off, this ceiling fan comments are in order:1) Engineering appears excellent. Well thought out and all components present. Very nice touch having some of the screws already in the holese – yes, you have to take them out but it saves hunting them down.2) Assembly (RTFM) was straight forward and easy.3) Installation with the wire rope hooked up was sweet. gave a lot more room that the other hook hangers, where you hang by a hole in the base. I liked that.4) Started right up, and is quiet, well balanced, and the remote is nice.Now for operational thoughts – these are important, so read them!1) I installed it on the light switch for the old ceiling fan. The switch, when turned on, turns the light on. THIS IS A VITAL THING FOR ME, AND WAS NOT EXPLICITLY ARTICULATED ANYWHERE I LOOKED. This was a massive bingo for me.2) This fan has a feature called ‘Breeze’. This ramps the fan up and down over a 3-4 minute span, creating a feeling of a breeze blowing through the window. WOW WOW WOW is that sweet!In summary, I not only would buy another, I have 6 or 7 more ceiling fans to replace, and I will buy these. Best deal I have found.And no, I am not a paid reviewer – I purchased this product for me. And I don’t typically post reviews, but in this case, the product earned it.

First ceiling fan I’ve replaced. So easy to do. This is so quiet. Fan speeds are nice and the light is super bright. Looks great. Nice and tight to ceiling. Great price. Going to buy another one for a bedroom. You can’t beat the price. And the remote is a added bonus!

I’m very happy with my purchase of the ceiling fans. Great look, function and price. During assembly of one of the fans, I broke off the connector pin to the light assembly. (My fault). I emailed the company and the associate quickly sent the replacement part. Everything assembled as it should. Thanks.

Missing parts prevented me from using this product
Update:The mfg. reached out to me after seeing my review and offered a refund given my experience with their product. They also offered to send missing parts and support to fix any issues I was having. Although this does not change my original review of the product, and I’m not obligated in any way to change my rating, I do feel I should give credit to Ohniyou for the customer support that I received. I will not be keeping the fan, in fact I’ve already boxed it up for donation, but wanted to update my review and let everyone know the extent Ohniyou went to resolve my issues, as this may give you more confidence to try their products for your self.Update:I went to my local big box store and found some screws with the correct thread size to replace the missing parts. They were not an exact match, and I had to grind down the diameter of the heads to get them to fit down in the screw holes. They were also just a bit shorter than the mfg. screws, so I couldn’t get a lock washer on them. Probably not the safest since they could work their way loose over time without the locking washer, but at least this allowed me to install the fan and test it. After doing all this I found a lot to be desired about this fan.The only way to control this fan is with its remote or the useless generic app that you will have to download from China. I say useless because I can’t get it to work— at all! The physical remote itself is very cheap feeling, made of really thin plastic. When you press a button on the remote there is no indication that anything happens, and I feel like if I press too hard I will probably break the remote. While the fan has six speeds, it hard to discern the difference between levels, especially the lower one. I think speed setting one is way too fast, but I can’t really see a difference between speed “1” and speed “2”. It feels like really there may be three speed setting, 1, 3 and 6 where I can see and feel a difference in the airspeed. Based on my testing, I’m not changing my original rating. If you are looking for an inexpensive, cheap fan that looks good and will only get occasional use then this fan may be a good fit for you if you get one with all its parts, otherwise I would plan on spending a little more money and buying a better quality fan.——————————————————————-Original Review:After spending an hour assembling this fan the whole install was stymied by two missing fan blade screws! I was concerned about the quality of this fan from the start, while it looks nice aesthetically, the motor seems really small, and the individual parts are made of thin metal. Nonetheless, I was willing to assemble all the parts and give it a try, but as we know now I won’t get a chance to actually use it. The quality control amazes me sometimes, how much companies must lose in product returns due to 10 cents in missing parts. I wish I could tell you to buy this fan, but my experience thus far would advise you to spend a bit more and get a quality product.

I cannot believe how many functions this fan comes with and capabilities for the price. I honestly don’t know how they could mark it down so cheap directions weren’t bad and it comes with a video QR code in the directions. Although upon sinking to the app, the directions were really unclear. You don’t need to use the remote. You just turn the power on and within five seconds of the fan power being on you click Bluetooth sync in the app, and the light will flicker a couple times. It wasn’t hard to install just a simple 120 V circuit. one white neutral and one hot wire. There are three connectors in total for wiring, harnesses line. The line voltage comes in and goes to a primary fan speed control board. From there it jumpers down to. The LEDs on the bottom of the fan. Just make sure they’re all tight and I would recommend using electrical tape on the connections just to make sure that I do not come apart during the installation hanging. My only grip is the installation support cable does not firmly attached to the mounting bracket in the ceiling. The fan is only 10 pounds luckily so it wasn’t too hard to put up but this could be an issue for someone. The color is great. I love the gray fan blades, which is what made me choose it to begin with.. the amount of airflow that the five blades set up produces is insane. I do HVAC for a living and it feels as if I’m standing next to a condenser fan motor running on max speed. It is super quiet and the bearings were super smooth. Functionally it is sound. I am really impressed for the price. It fit on my ceiling perfectly.. The base was smaller than my old 1990s hunter fan and I did not have to use the quick mount that I had up there for it as the base of the new fan was too small. I ended up having to use the all thread from my mounting junction box.All in all, I recommend they make changes to the directions, clarifying on how to sync to the app. Also the safety mounting cable should be securely attached to the base.
