The voice activation with Siri is fantastic
I was using a different product that needed an app called livekey and they sent went out of business no more app. I was puzzled and didn’t know what to use to continue to use Siri to open up my garage door then I found this it’s simple to hook up and it works each and every time what a pleasure it also works with Alexa and Google Home and Siri for iPhone I recommend this to everyone that wants voice control or just with the app that it comes with to control your garage door from your phone from anywhere it’s Wi-Fi don’t hesitate to buy this one. It’s a pleasure.

Workes very well with my linear garage door opener.
This unit is much smaller that I expected from the picture. The installation was very simple if you have a ladder. The door open sensor is battery powered so we will have to see how long till I have to replace it. It integrated into my wifi system with smart life just like my electrical switches and lights. I did not get this for voice control but that seems to work just fine with google home. You have to set a pin that the assistant prompts you for to activate it, I get alerts on my phone when the door changes from close to open and again when it closes again. This is what I really wanted so my neigbors did not have to call me when Ieft in a hurry and forgot. For the price it does everything I wanted with out a subscription.

Works well–but I had to highly modify the attachment method due to the fact my garage door is flush with the top of the garage opening, therefore, magnets had to be mounted on top of the side of the door and very high so as to not interfere with the cable system.

Easy to use, does what it says it will do.
This product does exactly what it says it will do with zero hassle. However, it isn’t a HomeKit accessory, and your garage door will not appear in the Home app. You CAN set it up so that “Hey Siri, Close the garage door” works, and if that is what you need then this deceptively small gizmo will definitely fit the bill.

Installation of the unit was easy, both the physical installation and pairing the unit through the Smart Life application. (I’m using Smart Life on an Android platform). However, the unit does not respond to an ‘open” request through Alexa. If you ask Alexa to “open” the garage door, Alexa asks you to open the garage door manually. The unit will only respond to a “close” request through Alexa. Which would be fine normally, because issuing a command to Alexa simply advises the wifi unit to close the circuit at the opener, which will activate the opener and either open or close the garage door, depending on the door’s current position. I could simply ask Alexa to “close” the garage door to open the door, and “close” the door when I wanted the door to close. The problem is that the sensor which you attach to the door advises Smart Life when the door is physically in the open or closed positions. If the door is in the open position and you ask Alexa to close the door, Alexa and Smart Life comply and the door closes. But, if the door is physically closed and you ask Alexa to “close” the door (remember that Alexa does not respond to the “open” command and you have to use the close command to both open and close the door) the door doesn’t move into the open position, because the sensor has advised Smart Life that the door is already in the closed position.So the only solution available to me was this:Open the garage door (so that Smart Life receives a message that the door is open)While the door was open, I removed the battery from the door sensor. (Now the sensor cannot send messages to Smart Life about the position of the door, and Smart Life will assume that the door is always open)Now, I can use the “close” command via Alexa to either open or close the door.This solution works well to control the opening and closing of the door using Alexa (always using the “close” command). However, the features of the unit provided by the sensor cannot be used, because I had to remove the battery to make the system work. So, I do not receive notifications that the door has been opened or closed. If I open the door and forget to close it, cannot build a routine to automatically close the door after a certain period of open time.The problem seems to lie with Smart Life and Alexa. If Alexa and Smart Life would recognize and respond to both commands “open” and “close” the problem would be solved.So, the unit itself works well, but integration with Alexa through Smart Life is very poor, and limits the devices’ usefulness.

Was working well for 4 months and durning the last month the devise would disconnect and reconnect randomly to the wifi. And it’s now dead since 2 weeks. I am unable to reset it and the devise is useless. I am unable to get hold of anyone who ca help since Amazon is telling me to contact the manufacturer. Contact me to fix or replace and I will update my review.
