Very EZ Install, no battery maintenance!
Doing weekly battery maintenance is a real pain, and this kit is less expensive than getting a 2nd battery. The batteries require a MICRO USB cable which is ridiculous deprecated technology.It was very easy to install and run the plug up to the door opener. The 25′ was barely long enough for me, I only have about 2′ left over. Make sure you measure before ordering, but worst case you need an extension cord. I did notice there is an aftermarket 30′ option.I did not need to drill any holes, as I had some molding on the garage frame that I ran it behind. I just pried the molding out about half an inch and pushed the wire through behind the molding. EZPZ.You will need a “PRECISION” phillips head screwdriver, that’s a little one like for eyeglasses, to adjust the swivel angle and connect the wires.

Dump the battery. This is the way to go.
myQ Smart Garage Door Video Keypad The product worked great but the issue is the battery. Life expectancy was less than 30 days when you’re using all the features. It does put a lot of drawer on the battery, but I came across this product and there’s many of them out there of clones, but I wanted to stick with the MQ so I purchased it very simple to do Just takes a few minutes couple little holes and I would say within 20 minutes you got up and running I’ve not been using this now for about 45 days. Let me tell you it’s so nice not worrying about the battery. It’s always fully charged and I have to say go for it if you use this product it’s so nice not worry about the battery. I highly recommend it.

Game Changer
Works seamlessly with my MyQ garage door opener. Super easy to set up and connect. There are several reviews that state the battery does not last very long before needing a charge. I avoided this issue by purchasing the wired power adapter kit FROM MANUFACTURER not the knock off kits. I highly recommend spending the extra money on the kit. Video quality is great. Notifications come to your phone quickly. Video calls are easy to hear and are clear. Being able to program up to 16 PINs and restrict by making them temporary by calendar and time. Or, repeating for specific days of the week and time frames all from your phone is a game changer.

A must unless you like recharging batteries all the time
This is a must unless you like recharging your keypad battery all the time. The keypad battery reviews are not very good and I didn’t want to have my keypad die on me at the most inconvenient time so installed this adapter kit. Plus the kit includes another adapter to swivel mount your camera for more angles. I had to drill a 3/8” hole using a long drill bit in order to mount my camera on the garage door frame. This required me to drill through the support studs hence the longer drill bit. I have brick around my garage door. If you have siding it will be easier as you can mount your camera on the siding near the garage door.

Works perfectly
This device worked out perfectly to not have to worry about recharging the battery on my MyQ garage video keypad. I went on to buy a spare battery and found a wired solution for only $5 more. I chose to pay a little more for the MyQ brand versus a third party because I wanted to make sure the housing would provide a tight fit for my device.Installation was a breeze and it works perfectly. I am very pleased with it.

The actual item is great and the cord was more than long enough for my garage. I have never used the opener without being wired using this, but it’s nice to not have to worry about charging the battery. That said, the price of this is high. I paid quite a bit less for the keypad itself and originally assumed, since this was priced about $40 more, that it also included it. I’m keeping it as that was my mistake and I’m happy to have it, but this feels a bit overpriced to me still.

This kit is great in order to never worry about any batteries having to be changed. Simple to install and I love how you adjust the angle to it. I say a must have.
