Great with Alexa
We purchased this light bulb to use in a can light over the bed in our bedroom hoping it would work with Alexa to make it easier for us to turn on the light when we get up in the middle of the night. It works perfectly and we especially like the many controls that the app provides. We can make the brightness level dimmer so we don’t blind ourselves.Highly recommend!

decent smart bulb, requires wifi, could use color match feature, documentation issues
This is basically the same as Intermatic’s A19 bulb from the same ABRA product line, but in a flood light BR30 form factor for recessed cans or track lighting. I’m using it in a torchiere type floor lamp.It unsurprisingly has the same issues I previously noted in a review of Intermatic’s A19 smart bulb, i.e. the webpage listed in the leaflet that comes with the bulb doesn’t exist (yet?), so no full user manual is to be found there. The description suggests that you can set it up with either WiFi or Bluetooth but there is no Bluetooth capability apparent, requiring WiFi and the Intermatic ABRA app to setup.Since I already had the app installed, adding the second bulb to my setup was pretty simple, as was adding it to Google Home that I had already linked to the Intermatic ABRA setup. No real complaints there.A couple of additional issues I noticed:- the photo in the product listing shows 700 lumen output printed on the bulb, whereas the product I received shows 750 lumen printed on the bulb, which matches the Amazon product listing title, so a good thing assuming it does have that higher output- the torchiere floor lamp I installed this bulb in has a second, gooseneck lamp for reading/close-up work, and it has a different brand LED bulb in it. Despite the ABRA bulb’s wide range of colors and color temperatures, I couldn’t get it to a color setting that came close to matching the gooseneck lamp’s bulb. While experimenting with the color palette feature in the ABRA app, it looked like it had a feature to copy a light/color profile. That feature doesn’t actually seem to do anything as far as I could tell. I thought it might have been able to use my phone’s camera to identify the color output of another light source and then copy that color in the ABRA bulb. It would be AWESOME if it could do that, but so far, it doesn’t seem to do anything. Or maybe it copies the color profile from another ABRA bulb attached to my account? I don’t know, I haven’t figured it out yet. If only there were a full user manual available on their website, or if the ABRA app had some help page for me to read, but it has none.Oh, one other thing–the ABRA app keeps wanting to know my physical location (I have my phone not to allow it without confirmation). It’d be nice if the app had a check box that lets me say “don’t bother asking unless you REALLY need it for what I’m trying to do”. I suppose there are some features that could conceivably need to know my location (maybe switching a “scene” on/off based on my location, e.g. turning on some lights when I am approaching home, or powering on a coffee maker in the morning, but only if I’m, or rather my phone is, in the house).

No complaints from me about this smart bulb – it works great, was easy for me to set up, connected to my wifi well, and I love all the different colors it gives and how easy it is for me to change the mood in my space now. Really nice, I’m happy with it!

Easy set up, works with Alexa & Google.
I chose these smart lights mainly because they are compatible with Alexa & Google. Setting it up was a much simpler process than any other smart bulbs I’ve tried. First I downloaded the app & made an account. Then I installed all 4 bulbs in different spots across my house, turned the light switch on, and I was pleasantly surprised to find I could connect all 4 bulbs at once then organize them with names & rooms individually. There was no need to keep flipping the light switches to get them in pairing mode or re-entering the wifi info over and over again. I connected them to both my google home account & alexa account and they work well with those assistants.My only issue is getting the color right. I frequently like to set the bulbs to orange or red. Compared to a different brand smart bulb I’ve been using, the “orange” seems more yellow and the “red” looks bright pink to me. If I use the “Intermatic” app to change the color of the light (instead of the google or Alexa app) it automatically puts the light up to 100% brightness with each color change. This is a bit of a nuisance when trying to use the lights to help with circadian rhythm related light exposure patterns.I installed these in 4 recessed can light fixtures in my home. Before installing them I did not realize the cans are different sizes in different rooms of my house. Two of the bulbs are in smaller cans which are a perfect fit of both length & width. The other 2 are in bigger cans that the bulbs are a bit sunken into. Even though they are all the same wattage, the bulbs in the smaller can seem brighter than the others because the face of the bulb has better exposure to the room.
