Love these chairs!
Very happy with these folding Adirondack chairs. I went for the natural instead of painted, and I’m so glad I did. The grain in the wood is beautiful. I assembled them without help. I read many reviews before buying, and was a little nervous when I saw a couple of reviews about how the pre-drilled holes in the wood didn’t line up. As with any assembly, never tighten the screws all the way, until the bulk of the project is together. I had to loosen the first chair when one of the boards was too long, thus the holes didn’t align. Just a slight loosening of the screws, and the issue corrected itself. I had no further issues and the chairs are perfect. They’ve held up great in the rain, as they have a light water repellent on them. They fold up easily for storage. Seriously great chairs. Very happy with my purchase. They’re comfortable and look amazing.

Poor Quality
I purchased two of these in the fall and assembled them in the spring. One of the two chairs split apart where the arms attach to the front legs on both sides the first time I sat in it. The wood seems very dry and brittle on the chairs. Unfortunately because I had waited so long to assemble them I was beyond being able to return them. Also, the chairs take an incredibly long time to assemble.

If you are not handy or good at puzzles, have someone help you put these together! Most of my pieces were unlabeled but I was able to figure out what was what looking at the directions.So happy I bought these! They look great and fold up nicely.A couple things: if you’re going to leave them outside, treat the wood. I don’t think it’s treated.Use a power drill! It goes a lot faster and a few of the holes don’t line up when you start putting it together, so it just goes a lot easier. That said, the wood is soft so if you’re using a drill be careful not to over tighten the screws because the wood will split pretty easily.I bought the natural wood option. These look nothing like the picture but I love them! They have a ton of variation in color and wood grain and are very nice looking.

Nice chairs for the patio
These chairs look great, and are very comfortable.I like the look of the natural wood finish. We’ll see how long they hold up in the outdoors.Assembly was fairly straight forward, and the instructions were very clear. Mostly pictures/diagrams instead of text which I think makes it easier to follow.It still took me several hours to complete the assembly of both chairs. They came out looking great though.My advice for assembly:Be sure to use ALL the pre-drilled pilot holes during assembly. There should be no need to drill your own holes – they all line up perfectly after some adjustment. If they don’t line up, then you need to figure out what you’re doing wrong. Just use patience, and don’t believe the reviewers who say they assembled these in 20 minutes.

I like this product was easy to install, and the color was what I was wanting. It has held up to the weather well. It does fold up is a nice feature but it is not very sturdy to sit in and wobbles despite securing that all parts were installed properly.

Love them.
Ok putting together was tedious and took 1 hour for each chair but not unachievable. Just separate pieces in order and flow with directions. You will need a little skill at handy work though and definitely requires a drill. Ok I sanded, filled screw holes with wood filler, preconditioned, tried to stain but it was a no go. So I had to use word paint. That took some time and painters tape but I got what I wanted. No I can’t speak to long term yet and durability of chairs but they seem great. I also added polyurethane as a top coat to seal everything. I love it!!! My lazy Sundays evenings in Savannah is in full affect.

Only lasted 1 seasons
Bought on may1 2023 it is now April 16, 2024. The chairs are not worth the money . The wood has split on 2 out of the 4 i have. They are constantly needing to be tightened. People are afraid to set on them.May 2023 review-Over all they are cute as decoration just don’t use them. The wood is poor quality. They were not hard to assumable but thank goodness I am a handy person. You MUST have a drill for this project.

If you like puzzles where the pieces don’t fit you’ll love this one
Just a few points:- The picture provided is the Merry Garden product (made in China, Merry Products), not what was delivered (made in VietNam, FDW “paylesshere.com”). When you take the parts out of the carton, it is immediately obvious they’re different than those in those in the assembled photo.- The natural wood finish is a thin, sticky wax coating. Luckily, it doesn’t penetrate the wood and can be sanded off allowing for a varnish finish.- The acacia wood is under dimensioned glue up planks. Acacia tends toward brittleness and the first time someone sits down heavily on this it is likely to split it.- The back assembly is several inches wider than its attachment points to the seat assembly. Rectifying this required fabricating a longer replacement front leg brace and wooden spacer washers at the four pivot points.- The assembly hardware is undersized (M6). This would be less of a problem if all the passage holes weren’t drilled for M8 bolts. I just replaced all the M6s with M8s.- Don’t drop any of the wood screws. There are only the exact number required (Merry provides three extras).Over the past decade similar kits have made nice house warning presents for friends when completed with a fancy finish. This one took enough time to derail that practice. In the future if it doesn’t come out of the box looking like the picture, it’s going back.
