Works as intended
These do take up your standard box, so no narrow boxes. Mines going in an attic space tied to a humidity and temp sensor to trigger a small exhaust fan when conditions require. Turns out my storage “half attic” areas are not very healthy and this solution seemed the most cost effective way to help the sealed areas “breathe”. Looks like a standard decorative wall outlet with a bonus button. LED load indicator can be configured in the app to turn off completely, light on with load or light off with load. Once you get involved with “rules” and fun with home automation, the possibilities for devices like this are endless. The bonus “always on” outlet being in my attic was an awesome place to plug my Ring floodlight camera in as well (because who puts outlets in unoccupied attic spaces?). This was a 500 series and setup was flawless with my Hubitat 7.

Check the button before you call the install done and ensure it works for more than 1 week
PROS- Installs easily- Looks nice- Pairs well with Home assistantCONS- Button on the face of the unit immediatly stopped working and too late to return.- Attempted to unpair but can’t as the button on the face of the unit does not function- Only able to turn on/off buttom receptical is using Home Assistant which is not convenient for how I use this- Chunky boy. A bit chunkier than other brands I have used.

Easy install and integration
Very easy to install and integrate. It is used with our ADT automation system and works seamlessly as needed. ADT integration also gives us the ability to us Alexa voice commands as well.

A space saver over a smart plug
I bought this to replace the outlet in my network cabinet, where I previously had a smart plug. This saves space in the cramped cabinet.I chose this particular outlet because I could confirm that the Z-wave -controlled socket defaults to its prior state after a power outage. I definitely needed this feature for my router. It paired easily with my Hubitat Elevation hub, but I expected as much, especially given that they are only inches apart.

Easy to Install, But Didn’t Work with Hubitat (Unfortunately)
Installation was super easy — probably one of the simplest in-wall smart outlets I’ve installed. The tamper-resistant design is a nice bonus, and the hardware itself feels high quality. However, despite all my efforts, I couldn’t get it to work with my Hubitat hub. I tried every trick I know — inclusion/exclusion, reset, driver changes — but no luck. Unfortunately, by the time I realized it wasn’t going to integrate, my return window had already passed, so I’m stuck with a smart outlet I can’t actually use in my smart home setup.Just a heads-up for anyone using Hubitat: this model may not be fully compatible. Hopefully, this helps someone avoid the same issue I ran into.

Gets the job done.
Installed on a power pole for a pool for the accessory outlet for one season so far. Makes it far easier to switch on or off accessory items with a click of a button from my phone.
