Works as described
Really nice heater. Of course not a lot of heat but probably good enough when sitting away like 3-4 feet. It took me 2:30 hours to assemble. Very easy to assemble if you follow the directions carefully. Looks great when lit. I also ordered the cover and it fits great. Will update when we start using the heater.

Works Great! Relatively Easy Assembly
This heater works great and looks beautiful,Most of my comments here are relative to assembling the heater once you receive it. When you see how many parts this thing comes in, it looks a little scary. However, it is very well engineered and assembly proceeds more smoothly than I expected. Everything fits together perfectly. The worst part by far is getting all the protective film off all the visible stainless steel parts. It took me a couple of hours to complete the assembly, but I would guess you could put one together in an hour with practice.

Works great for show, decent for heat
The first thing to know is that the tower flame type heaters are largely meant for show, but do put off a modest amount of heat. If you are looking for a high heat output, this is not the fixture for you. However, if you want something that looks great and puts off a modest amount of heat, this is a great option. I also selected this type of heater because we needed a bit more light on our deck.Installation was relatively straight forward and I did not experience the problems listed in other reviews. Although full disclosure, I had my high-school daughter take charge of the assembly and I just assisted her. The only one minor mistake we made was early on assembling the base upside down on the first step. However had we looked at the picture a bit more closely, we would not have made that mistake. Otherwise, installation was straight forward and it seems like a sturdy unit.Lighting the unit is very easy, but very helpful to read the instructions first. Follow the instructions, lights like a champ. To get much appreciable heat output, you must have the unit set on high and here is where I learned a trick. Initially I was trying to fiddle with the control to get it set to maximum output as there is a large difference in heat output between maximum output and just below maximum output. Then I discovered that if you turn the unit down and slightly pull on the dial it pops out slightly. At that point, if you try to turn it back to maximum it will stop at maximum output. This makes it easy to get the most heat output. Flames should be just licking the top of the unit at this point. At this setting, you can slightly feel heat about five feet away but most heat output will be within three feet. Again, if you are looking for major heat output, this isn’t the unit for you.All in all, a great patio light that looks spectacular and a modest heater. I also purchased the cover to go along with it to help protect so hopefully it lasts for a while (only had a week at this point…) My one suggestion for the manufacturer would be to put some sort of feet at the bottom. The unit essentially has four metal L brackets and you can attach your own feet, but would have been a nice touch to have something a little more decorative. However this doesn’t impact functionality and in truth, no one will look at the feet, they will be mesmerized by the flame.

Can’t beat this price, great product!!!
I agree with the other reviewer, this unit is very comparable to the higher priced models sold at $1,800.00. In fact, I was considering purchasing “Bonfire’s” model for over $900 and I’m glad I did not as I was comparing the parts in detail, it is the exact same product with Bonfire’s name plate! Bonfire does however have a natural gas model and i think I will convert this propane model to natural gas by purchasing Bonfires natural gas burner tray. So the unit is average grade parts, but when it is all assembled, you can’t tell much difference between this and the other higher priced units. Granted it doesn’t have a remote control, but the side panel is chained and magnetic at the top and hinged at the bottom, so the panel just pulls apart a few inches easily to press the red electric piazo ignitor…. it has a battery, so it continues to send sparks, not click and spark like some old barbecue grills. It fires right up, and the flames go approx 3/4 of the way up, and the tips of the flame hit the top. The heat generated is enough to take the bite out of a 60-70 night, but not quite the heat generated at your commercial restaurants from the traditional patio heaters. The light does however provide great atmosphere and everyone is mesmerized by the heater! And I found the instructions to be adequate and assembly time took approx 2 hours. The product came adaquately packaged as well, and the bolts were in a sealed package. The unit does also come with 2 wheels that bolt onto the frame if desired to allow you to tilt and move the heater. You won’t be disappointed.

USELESS FOR HEAT!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!
Beautiful BUT USELESS FOR HEAT! Do not believe that this will heat you, it won’t. Maybe if you’re in Florida it would work. We’re in South Carolina, it is 42 degrees out with no wind and we get heat maybe 6 inches off the wire sides. You can see the picture of my wife trying to stay warm. Unfortunately we threw the boxes away that it came in, so now we’re out $300 on a garbage heater that doesn’t heat. Don’t buy this!

Stunning
I had a very different experience than the other reviewr here. The unit was purchased on Tuesday with standard shipping. It arrived in Los Angeles via UPS Red on Friday. Assembly is time consuming, but very manageable. Just be certain to read the manual completely before assembling. It is extremely important to do everything in the order specified by the manufacturer. Otherwise, you will need to take things apart and put them back together again.Once assembled, the units are stunning. We bought several for our patio, and can attest to the fact that they are identical to units branded under other nameplates costing as much as $1,800. Careful shopping really paid off.

Very easy to assemble
Very easy to assemble. All the holes lined up well and the directions were clear. It was packaged well to avoid and damage from shipping. It looks great, much nicer than the traditional heater. It warms nicely if sitting in close proximity.

I bought a Napoleon glass tube heater last year, it cost me almost double what I paid for the AZ patio heater. After assembling it, I found it was defective, and returned the Napoleon unit to the store for a refund. This year I bought the AZ heater for much less, expecting the quality to be significantly poorer, but at half the price I figured I could buy two of them. After reading other reviews, I assumed it would be all for show and no heat, and I was OK with that.Delivery was quick, and I was able to assemble the unit, alone, in under 90 minutes. It probably helps that I already assembled a similar unit the year before. I was surprised by just how similar the two heaters were. The main difference was that the AZ heater’s steel was ever so slightly thinner, and the grates that go around the glass tube are painted vs. full stainless. I can’t compare performance since the Napoleon never lit, but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by just how much heat this thing let off. I agree with other posts that this isn’t going to heat up your entire patio, but I could feel the heat radiating in a 6ft radius, much more than I was anticipating. This thing looks great too – I couldn’t be happier. What really impressed me was the after-sale service. The AZ heater arrived with a slightly damaged heat deflector. Rather than disassembling and returning the whole thing I sent an email to their warranty department asking if they could replace the deflector. I sent the email at 12:50 pm, and at 12:54 pm I received an email with the tracking details for the replacement part. I’ll definitely be ordering another one of these heaters!

Great patio heater for the money. The heater will through some heat, but as others have stated you need to be relatively close to feel it. From what I’ve read this seems to be a tread for most of these style of heaters and I knew that going in. People that are giving it one star saying it doesn’t give off heat should have done some research before they bought a glass tube heater. In the picture You can feel some heat from the far side of the sectional, but we will probably be purchasing another one of these to put on the other side. The material is a thin stainless steel and came missing two screws for the one panel (they have 6 so not a huge deal). The instructions must have improved lately because I found them easy to follow and had the heater built in around 20ish minutes.Overall it seems to be a really good product so far. We will see how it holds up in the long run.

Love it. Cheaper price than anywhere else but same performance than any other one out there.

I bought this patio heater. It looked great but I never received it and can’t get my money back. Don’t buy this because if you have a problem with it, you won’t get any help or your money back. Terrible experience.
