I recently used the VAGKRI Outdoor Heater on a camping trip, and it absolutely did the job. We had temps in the high 30s to low 40s inside a canopy tent, and this heater kept everyone within about 4–5 feet toasty and comfortable.The instant heat is real—within a second of turning it on you can feel the warmth from the infrared element, so there’s no waiting around shivering. I really like the three heat settings (700W / 1000W / 1500W); I used the lower setting when the sun was still out and bumped it up to 1500W once it got dark and colder.The tripod stand is sturdy and easy to adjust. Being able to raise and lower it from about 33” to 77” made it simple to aim the heat exactly where we were sitting. The option to wall-mount it later is a nice bonus if I decide to use it on the patio at home. Works fine as an infrared heater, starts heating immediately
If you’re looking for this type of infrared heater to warm up a specific spot indoors or outside, this is a well-built unit. The stand and heater themselves are sturdy and simple to assemble. It’s also easy to adjust it to an appropriate height. The instructions are straightforward, with various time & safety features to ensure that the heater doesn’t stay on and cause a fire.The remote works perfectly well and is easy to use to control the unit. The heater really does start working within 1 second, putting out a lot of warmth as soon as it’s turned on.Just take notice that a heater like this without a fan will keep the heat centralized in a specific location within a small radius directly around the front. While this can be ideal for keeping warmth from escaping while you’re outside, I don’t see it as being practical indoors, where you’d likely want the heat to fill a mid-sized or large room. Only a few people can benefit from the heat it gives, or it could only provide enough warmth for a smaller room. On the flip side, no fan also means no noise, so that’s an advantage.The initial cost this was listed at was a little high to me ($170), but I’ve seen some sales that make it more reasonable. I’d say it’s just a bit pricey for what it accomplishes, but I can’t knock the excellent quality of the materials. If you’re fine with an infrared heater that’s only going to work for one spot and need something that can hold up to tough use, you may like this a lot
