That’s on me, I know, but…Here’s what would make this a 5-star: little magnets in the corners so that it actually held its shape in tray form. For a single placemat that doesn’t hold its tray form, I would definitely not have paid the asking price. That said, it is nice looking, good quality fake leather and seems well constructed.

Love it!This is really high-quality. I’m not sure why people are saying they expect the sides to stand up on their own, it’s meant to lay flat and then fold into a tray when needed. The design actually makes it really versatile. Super smart. 10/10 from me!

DESIGN NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
The appearance of the duo mats is classy. They appear well made and sturdy. I like that it is reversible so that a different color is featured.I was disappointed that when the mat is creased to enable it to operate as serving tray, the corners relax, they do not set upward as they are shown in the pictures. Additionally, there is no weight limit suggested but I do not feel comfortable placing anything beyond a plate and utensils if it is used as a serving tray. It just doesn’t have the kind of strength necessary to add a sugar bowl or a tea pot if one has placed a dinner plate upon it already.I had hoped to use this as an aid while lying in bed (as I am not able to fully sit while I eat). It is a bit better than placing a kitchen towel under my plate but if it is at a slight angle that which is on this mat will slide in that direction.The mat is easy to clean, just take a soapy sponge and wipe clean, rinse with water. So, it isn’t complicated, it is handy as a glorified placemat/tray and it is better than nothing but doesn’t tackle the desired usefulness it proclaims.

First of all picture is deceiving (reason for 1 star deduction) this doesn’t stay in tray form if you are not holding handles…it falls flat into a mat. Now positive… nice leather like material, quality stitching. Upper end look. Convenient carrying tray for serving guests with the impressive mat when placing down on table. Due to being flat easy to store. If you are looking for an impressive presentation carrying serving tray that is functional as a mat this is the item. Also convenient for clean up for you can simply gather glasses/plates/napkins onto this tray and lift handles and carry away then simply wipe down and put away. Dimensions are as described.
