    These last long and the colors look really great.
    Hue bulbs are my favorite. I have six of these in my front yard, and one started to lose some of its colors, so I had to replace it after three years. I got a great deal on this one and was able to replace it easily. I guess getting three years of daily use out of one, being outside is pretty good, but I hope they do last longer. I have a lot of these products in my house, so I have a strong mesh network. I Never have any issues turning these on or off or adjusting colors because of that.

    Love, Love, Love, Love, Love, this. Thank You Philips. Worth cost
    I’m a big Philips Hue user and over years have watched the company put out some great products. I’ve wanted to try these for a while but was hoping to catch a reduced price as I needed a few. So, I finally got one and it didn’t disappoint is style, color, and quality. Very happy with it and adding to my collection of Hue outdoor lights. Will be getting more for sure. Highly recommended.

    Excellent landscape lighting
    I bought these Philips Hue lights for my front yard since it’s very small (I only need 4 lights) and I wanted to do it myself (so it had to be easy). This product fit the bill perfectly! It was very easy to install – no need to add a transformer since it’s already included in the power supply. In addition to the power supply, I bought one Calla outdoor pathway light, three Lily XL outdoor spotlights, three cable extensions, and a Hue bridge. I am very pleased with the results. I was concerned that the light cast from the Lily XL spotlights would be too wide (I wanted to regular spotlights but they were sold out) but I find that these spotlights cast a lovely soft glow into a large tree and softly frame my front windows to accent the architecture of my home. I have an Echo Dot which can be used in lieu of the Hue bridge but opted to buy the bridge instead since I do not use my Echo Dot all the time. Set up was very simple. I downloaded the app and it’s easy to change light colors and routines. These lights are a little expensive compared to other landscape lighting options but Philips Hue landscape lighting was a better option for me since I didn’t need that many lights. If I had a large yard and needed more lights or knew I’d never want to change the light colors, it might make more sense for me to get other landscape lights. But this was a perfect option for me! It’s rained several times since I installed these lights and it’s been below freezing at night. No issues so far.

    They are not worth the money
    I bought eight of the bollard lights to put in front of my house. Over the course of a year the black plastic turned grey and the white plastic turned yellow. At night they still look decent but during the day they look cheap and pretty ugly. Another thing is they tend to lean as the ground moves, grass grows and the elements take their toll. I am a bit of a perfectionist and driving up and seeing them pointing in different directions makes it look disheveled. I can’t blame Philips for that though. A few of them started blinking really fast, like disco lights which made me have to disconnect them. Once again, at first it seems great. They look good and they work well but they just don’t last as long as you’d think for the price. I hired some contractors to build a room on the front of my house and in the process they broke all my lights. I will not be replacing them with Philips Hue bollards. They’re too expensive for what lughts that ultimately will not stand up to the elements. I live in the Northeast so you can get an idea of the weather they’ve endured. BTW, I have Philips Hue lights in and around my house so I love the brand. All my other lights work well but these ultimately let me down.

    Loss of function after only 3 months
    The light was great while it was working for approximately 3 months. Noticed water droplets within the inside of the housing after several day period of rain. Then the light stopped turning on. These are marketed as outdoor lights so this is surprising. I have been trying to figure out how to return for a replacement online but there are no options offered. There is only a 30 day return option. I called customer service but there are only recordings and I have not been able to talk to a human. I am in shock as these are very expensive lights. Hopefully a human being at Philips will speak to me at some point. 3 months of use for this price is not acceptable.

    Expensive and WORTH IT! A+++
    These are the top-notch LED lights right now and after installing nearly 20 around the exterior of our home, I can say we’ll buy even more for our backyard.NOTE: Plan ahead!!! If you seriously think you’ll have a Philips Hue ecosystem with over 50 Hue products one day (think about the indoor bulbs/switches/sensors and the outdoor lamps and spotlights), then immediately buy TWO Hue bridges. You can only put 50 products on one bridge and that’s overloading a single bridge, in my opinion. We just installed a 2nd bridge and placed all interior products on the 1st bridge and all exterior Hue landscape products on the 2nd bridge. This frees up your Wi-Fi signal for normal use around your home and boosts the signals to all the Hue products.

    There are no spare parts from Phillips
    I have no concerns with this product and have three of them in my backyard. I’m a devoted Hue user inside my home as well. But I’m also very disappointed that they don’t have any parts for this particular bollard outdoor light. The plastic spike is well, plastic, and not super durable. So when you break it in the hard ground or your kid kicks it over or a soccer ball hits it you’re out of luck and they want you to buy a whole new light.

    I bought 4 “base kit” bollards when they went on sale and finally got around to putting them up 6 months later.Turns out the marketing material is not accurate and you can’t daisychain the lights together as you would Christmas lights – you need the extension kit with a T-shaped adapter to power up to 5 bollards/lily spotlights on one power supply.I had to order 3 more extensions and am trying to figure what to do with the 3 other base kits now … other than that, the setup was easy.PRO TIP:Plug them all in when you are inside and add them / update them before you install them outside!They are easier to add and troubleshoot when they are closer to the hub.I was impressed with the sturdiness of the materials – the bollards geeky high quality and tough – even the spike was made of a sturdy material.Be careful when pushing them into firm ground you can apply a LOT of pressure as long as it’s even and straight down.I was able to string 4 callas and a lily spotlight on one power supply.These lights combined with the outdoor motion sensor are very good for when visitors come over, and for using as security lights that might scare away burglars.I’m going to add another steering of 5 in the back garden, but I’ll need to figure out a way to dig a trench and bury the extension cables I bought at least 6-8 inches under ground.I’m very happy with the purchase & the setup is definitely DIY friendly (unless you need to run power to the area you want to put the lights, then you should get an electrician).

    Took me about 15 minutes to have six of these lights set up and working in a row. One unit is the base and the rest are extensions. I combined the set up with a remote control power bar to have them lit with the push of a button. I didn’t bother with the router and colour changing app. The really nice white light is good enough and simple to set up.

    This is the second lot of these lights we bought for the garden. Being able to change the colors and set up scenes really makes these an excellent choice for the garden. They are a bit more expensive than usual garden lights but the effect you get from these is excellent.
