Replaced my Ring 1
I bought this devise in May to replace the older Ring 1 model that we had. I was looking for something with a longer battery life and something with batteries I could easily swap out, as with the ring 1 I have to remove the whole thing to charge it. This new version is great! I had to toggle through the settings to get the right ones so I can get the longer battery life but still get the videos I needed. Easy to install in the same area I had the old one. Setup to wifi was also pretty easy and was able to use the same app I had before. Videos are clear and I am able to see who is at the door or walked by. Sometimes it detects things that are not people but I would rather receive a few more notifications than miss out on something important.

GREAT for the money. I got this on sale for the same price as a brand new basic model from Ring. We’re extremely happy with it.

Bought this for my sister-in-law who works nights. She is very happy and love the resolution. She enjoyed the alerts because she can see who’s at her door when she’s home alone.

If you want something that you don’t have to buy a plan, don’t buy a ring
Ring should make a place to put your own SD card a MicroSD card and record everything that you want instead of having to buy their app. I mean that’s the thing now they all want you to buy the app people trying to get away from the damn apps. You can use a SD card and do the same thing. Catch everything

A good upgrade
This is a big improvement over my old Ring2. No issue being refurbished, I do wish the faceplates were interchangeable with the older models, but they are not. I was relieved to find that the outer dimensions are still the same because I was replacing an old model and don’t want to alter the installation plan.

Notifications are very poor with (like new) Ring doorbell.
I have bought 4 (like new) Ring doorbells. None has performed well. The worst problem is with the notification settings. Even with the Pro models I have had problems with notifications. Customer service was not able to help.

Refurbished Device Works Very Well
This doorbell has been such a great addition to our lives and an excellent safety upgrade. I love being able to see who is at our door even when we aren’t home. On a few occasions it’s been very helpful to be able to speak to the person at our door when we’re away. The battery lasts about a month. I bought an extra battery so that I can just change it out and don’t have to be out of commission while waiting for it to charge. I purchased a refurbished device, and it works very well.
