LEGO 10309 Botanical Collection: SUCCULENTS Building Set for Adults (771 Pieces)
This SUCCULENT Lego set not only looks awesome but was a ton of fun to put together too. Every piece was accounted for with some spares part leftover which happens with every Lego product I’ve purchased. My son’s girlfriend actually thought these were real succulents at first too until she got a closer look at them.The only downsides that I can think of are the fact that the bases are a little repetitive (there are six of them after all) and that some of the colors can be a little tricky. At one point I picked a different shade of brown and had to go back and redo a small section. That was my fault though for not paying closer attention.The instructions themselves are great and easy to follow though. The process is broken down into three sections inside three little books which are good places to take breaks. You always have the option of separating the succulents as well but I think they look wonderful as a set. Overall it’s another excellent Lego product that I love =)Note: Although the recommended ages for this says it’s for those 18 and older, it’s really not that difficult and I’ve no doubt that teens and even some children a little younger than that could put this together all by themselves…

Fun and pretty Lego set
Beautiful Lego set for adults – fun to do and the end result is very pretty as a decorative item. It also made a great gift that a family can enjoy together.

Lovely set, ideal decoration for anyone that loves plants, not just Lego collectors
My mother suggested I buy the Lego Bonsai set as a gift for another family member back around last Christmas, and then I saw this set and thought of getting it as a decoration for her. Coincidentally, she saw the same thing online and expressed interest, so I picked it up.It’s lovely and not too tedious to put together despite having many very small pieces. I would encourage adults to help children with this build, though, as it’s really not a design that would be easy for very small kids, and really isn’t an appropriate project for toddlers. This is ideally a decorative piece that teens and adults can more easily assemble, and there’s even a small amount of articulation of some of the features so that you can display it in various ways. (e.g. you can arrange the different individual plants in more ways than just suggested on the box, and slightly alter the angle of some of the pieces to create unique looks.)My only tiny, tiny complaint is that exactly one little leaf-shaped piece didn’t fit correctly where it was supposed to go. I could only figure after a lot of trying that it was just slightly misshapen, but fortunately I had and identical piece from the bonsai set that I could swap out, which worked. (The placement of that particular piece is different on each set, and in the succulents set it goes in a very tight corner, whereas on the tree it fits on a peg that has nothing else in the way.)Anyways, my mom loved the finished set and displayed it in her dining room. I kinda wish it was a tiny bit cheaper, but that’s how it is with most Lego, I think. It’s definitely nice if you don’t mind the price.

I bought these as my first LEGO project ever and I found it very interesting that the pots for each individual cactus were so complicated and that whole inside that you had to build. The instructions were very easy to follow although they did take some brain power everything snapped together without a hitch, and I ended up with a beautiful cactus garden that I don’t have to water, but I do have it sitting on a wash stand in my bathroom and I’ve noticed that people are always ramming into it or like to pick at it because once in a while, there’s an odd cactus piece laying there that I have to put back on again and sometimes these can be challenging taking apart other pieces as well To reattach it. So if you build this prickly Paradise, I suggest that you place it somewhere where it can be seen, but not touched.
