Got this for Christmas after I had it on my wish list. Came with no instructions or any paperwork of any kind, but was VERY securely wrapped with bubble wrap everywhere. It was in pristine condition. Very solid pipe. Not actual plumbers iron pipe, but also not too far off. The wood was real and solid and of good quality. I was excited that it wasn’t looking like another Amazon “pictures are much better than reality” situation.Assembly is incredibly straight forward so I could see why they didn’t include instructions until I realized that I was missing a piece. One of the top caps (that is ironically shown in the ad above with its own close-up image) was missing. Nowhere to be found. That’s when the “no paperwork” problem became apparent: there was NO WAY to contact customer service and have them just ship me the one tiny piece. The one piece that is necessary for the unit to be usable at all. Without it, the unit’s top shelf is NOT secured at all and easily slides off, possibly injuring a toddler or young child. So instead of an easy fix where they just send me the missing top cap and short extender pipe, I have to disassemble the entire (heavy) piece, pack it up again and drive it to a UPS drop off.Which sucks. And is senseless. And is bad business.So if I HAD gotten all the pieces, it would’ve gotten a much better score, but as it is it’s useless. Hence the 1 star.You buy cheap stuff, you get poor quality control and no customer service.

Just what I needed
Awesome industrial looking Shelf perfect for just about anything. Surprised by the but I would not exceed the recommended weight it held but I would not recommend exceeding its weight limits. Looks good hardwood floor. Mine holds 30 and 40 lb amplifier heads along with other wooden boxes, a record player and random things.
