I can say that this does have a familiarity to Chicago. No, it doesn’t smell like pizza but maybe a hint of a hotdog stand. No, it does not smell like a a hotdog. However, it does have a distinct peppery (black perhaps) note that my sniff picked up straight away. Italian Beef, no…maybe a whiff of green peppers.No gun smoke. No tar nor asphalt. No dirty stinky politicians. Just a simple blend of something with a distinct peppery note. Kinda nice actually.

Great at first but think of the long term use.
Smells nice. Would have been a 5 star but the ease of use on this gets way worse the more you use it. When you’re at the halfway point this thing becomes a nightmare to light up again. Which sucks because this is a fantastic scent and high quality candle.

I absolutely love the fragrance of this candle… Homesick…NEW YORK CITY. Our son and his wife gave us one of these candles and we loved the scent so much we bought another one. I have lots of candles and this candle is now my favorite scented candle. It has a warm , inviting scent that fills several rooms with its lovely scent !

Wick off center, causing tunneling
I’ve purchased this candle before and never had a problem, always loved the candle. But the one I bought in Oct 2025 was different. The smell was barely noticeable but worse was that the wick was off center and therefore the candle tunneled immediately. I’ve been using foil to fix it but with a wick off center it won’t work. Smell is beautiful but too weak, so I won’t buy again. And this one is really useless. Such a waste!

Extremely disappointed ! Ordered 2 Hawaii candles and 1 New Mexico, this my second order after purchasing these last year. I received 2 Chicago candles and no New Mexico candle. As the “Hawaiian” candles were wrapped by me as gifts I wasn’t aware of error until after Christmas….nor have I had an update rd the no show NM candle. Had been so pleased with previous order, this a big disappointment
