We acquired this lamp to fit a tight space and be dimmable as well as allow for different light ranges (warm to cool white). The lamp itself is very narrow with a shade that works perfectly. The shade comes in one piece that you attach with clips on the cloth to two metal rings that attach to the stand. Very well designed and once the shade was on the rings for a bit, the cloth settled to look as if it was a solid piece not a band of fabric as it is. Very clever design and worked well for the manufacturer to be able to ship the lamp broken down. Very good design for the cord as it comes out of the stem above the weighted platform and not out from below the weighted platform. This allows one to move the lamp easily without worrying about the cord binding under the platform.Now for the best part. The smart bulb works to perfection with the phone app that leverages Bluetooth technology. You cannot mess this smart bulb while away from the lamp like you could if it used WIFI, but for our purpose it works great over my home away from home work desk. There is an on/off knob on the stem of the lamp that will turn the bulb off and when turned back on it holds to the setting you have for the bulb when you used this knob to turn off the bulb.The app user interface could not be easier and there is almost unlimited colors as the color wheel in the app allows you change the color and the brightness of the bulb. The feature to have the bulb respond to music played as well as to a rhythm does not have much application in our household, but for the younger end user, it might be a nice to have.Can highly recommend this lamp and smart bulb combo. It is great value and very, very well put together. Arrived in great shape and went together very easily.

Easy to use, decent lamp with a so-so shade
Assembly is quick and straightforward, and the included remote works well enough. The lamp works well and looks clean once set up. The weak point is the shade — since it comes flat and you have to roll it onto the frame, it doesn’t always want to hold a perfectly round shape. It’s also a bit pricey given the lack of integration with larger smart-home ecosystems, but overall it’s a functional, attractive floor lamp that gets the job done.

I actually already have a floor lamp in my bedroom but I’ve been wanting something a little more homey. I ordered the “Varicart Dimmable Floor Lamp” because it had all the options my current floor lamp has with a cute little lampshade.Pros:-Multi color and brightness controls on the LED bulb-Easy switch on and off knob (like a real knob!) with memory-Relatively low footprint-perfect height for a reading light next to a couch-Heavy base so it doesn’t tip over easilyCons:-I love the knob but it doesn’t ever stop anywhere. It just twists continually on or offOverall this is such a great Little lamp with so many features and controls. Its not complicated to use and I really love how cute it looks. It’s on the shorter side so it’s definitely meant as a side lamp for a reading chair or sofa. It gives off a good amount of light but it’s not a “big light” if you know what I mean. 5/5 stars.
