My daughter is heat intolerant and we moved to a new home that didn’t have a fan in her room. I ordered this one as it didn’t break the bank and aesthetically matched. This thing puts out some air flow!!!!!!! She is extremely happy with it.

Wanted to like it more, but has its quirks.
This fan was a replacement for an aging unit in one of our spare bedrooms. What sold me on it was the sleek design and silent DC motor operation. The multiple color temperatures and remote feature were an added bonus, but this is where my (minor) complaints lie.Installation was a bit of a hassle, due to needing to mount it nearly flush to the ceiling. It is designed to use at least a short downrod. I was able to make it happen, but not without a few choice words. Once it was mounted, it fired right up and functioned perfectly.However, you pretty much need to leave your power switch turned on at all times to keep the fan/light functioning how you want it. If you kill power to it by turning off your room switch, the next time it turns back on, it will be in “default” mode, which is fine if you like Daylight color temperature and no fan blades spinning. I, however, do not. I always have to grab the remote and dial in the lighting to a warmer, dimmer setting and then activate the fan at the last speed setting. Pretty annoying, honestly. I know I can leave the switch turned on and just get used to using the remote, but any guests or children visiting are going to go straight for the light switch every time, and needing to “redo” all the settings will be a daily occurance. It also has an audible “beep” every time you press a button, which will not be appreciated by our future sleeping baby in this room. Not what I was looking for in a ceiling fan.Overall, the fan looks good, the motor is nearly silent and it moves enough air, and the operation is simple enough. But the fact that it defaults every time you hit the light switch means I will be replacing it within a year.
