Why does my security camera still need to be charged?
A full charge handles 4000 PIR activations. Solar extends battery life, but its trickle charge can’t maintain high power with low sunlight or fast drain.
Adjust settings and avoid heat sources to also extend life.

What’s the best location to install the solar panel camera?
For optimal solar efficiency, install the camera in a sunlit area, tilted 15 degrees downward. Avoid heat sources and air vents.

A great little camera.
I have 2 of these cameras now. I was impressed with the price and ease of setup, so i bought a second one. Setup is easy and takes only a few minutes. The app prompts you in regards what to do when. This is one of the easiest camera i have installed, and i have installed a lot of them. Battery life so far has been great. I am curious to see what it will be like in the winter. For the price and ease of setup, you can’t go wrong! Seems to be well built and is small enough to put anywhere. It functions well on motion detection. When it is set on medium it will detect a person or animal from about 25′ away. The view is very good. It gives a decent wide angle view of my yard. Night vision is clear and sharp.

Excellent solar-powered outdoor camera.
I bought this camera because I needed a wireless option to monitor the outside of my house, and it truly exceeded my expectations. Installation was very easy; I didn’t have to deal with any wires thanks to the integrated solar panel. The battery stays charged even on cloudy days. The image quality is very clear, both day and night. The color night vision is a great bonus. Motion detection works quickly, and I receive alerts on my phone without any delays. I also love that it has two-way audio; I can talk through the app when someone approaches. Highly recommended.

AVOID AT ALL COST
UPDATE no.2.The camera detection system lacks accuracy—a large round pool was mistaken for a human at a distance of less than 15 feet, garden trash was classified as a moving car, and there’s an inconsistency in recording. One day it captures over 60 events, while the next day, under the same weather conditions and roughly the same circumstances, it barely records 7 events the next day turning the camera into a very unreliable equipment.Even though I wanted to give a fair try, it has proven to be a failure, so I am returning itCustomer service couldn’t help, even though they gave it a try.UPDATEIf you do not subscribe, you cannot see video history, you cannot view videos even though it show they are stored, you do NOT get alerts at the time the motion detection is activated.If you do not watch it in real time, you are out of luck because if videos are recorded, you will not get access to them, regardless of them being stored on the system.In other words, if you do not pay them, you just wasted your time installing it, making holes in your house facade, and money on top of that.Even though I have SD card insid,e and settings are set that all will be stored on the SD card –none of the videos are actually stored there at all–which is a fraud in my opinion, only to force you to get you to pay for the subscriptionAnd on top of that, they can change the subscription plan at any time, and you have to pay with a Google account.Even though the cameras have good resolution, there are a few problems I am dealing with. I bought 2 cameras and both has the same problem and therefore I will not recommend them under any circumstances.1 You have to subscribe to get full benefits, although you can get complimentary 2-year free 3-day cloud storage- that had turned out to be a false advertisement because it will not allow you to play any videos2. Even though a phone notification shows that a few videos were recorded and you go into the app to view them, they appear under the envelope icon, but when you click on it to view all, the videos disappear as if nothing was detected. This happens despite the fact that they still show up in the phone notifications, but you’re unable to open them.This is a huge problem from the security point of view –if anything happens to your property, you have no proof as the videos are not viewable, despite the time frame between the notifications on the phone and me trying to view is less than 1 minute3. If you want to watch a live feed, the app turns off the live view in a few seconds while watching it on the phone, and there is NO recording despite the fact that you watch it as events happen, so again –no proof of anything happening.That is a huge flaw that can lead to missed video recordings for security reasons.
