Is the board plywood or MDF, or something cheap else?

Perfect Shelf for My Son’s Room

We purchased three of these units. One was damaged in shipping and Anynice was great about quickly sending replacement parts for the missing pipe sections. The shelves are easy to assemble and look great along our wall.

Best bookshelves on the internet
I’ve bought twelve of these bookshelves over the last three years from almost every size and option. I cannot stress enough how awesome and effective they are, especially if you like the style. These bookshelves are truly an “erector set”. I use these in every room I need to store books (which happens to be… every room in the house) and not only are they sturdy and attractive, they are incredibly modular. Far more affordable than the big Swedish brand bookshelves, plus it’s solid wood and not MDF board. 😂Installation is easy and takes a few hours the first time. I can do it in an hour these days after so many installations and it holds a lot of books and trinkets.They really hold a lot. I use the provided drywall anchors and I am usually lucky enough to get a stud on a few of the wall attachment points. They always provide extra drywall anchors and screws.If you feel the call of a creative approach like I did, I bought extra pipe pieces and wall attachments through Amazon and as long as you match the 3/4” size, the possibilities of different configurations are near endless! I’ve split one bookshelf into two, or three. I’ve created two long and short bookcases from the 70” l x 85” h option to create a built-in bookcase look in a corner room. This weekend I split the 48” w x 85” l option into one bookcase with three shelves and another floating bookcase with two shelves. The one thing I have not done yet is mix and match shelf sizes, which is something I’d like to do next as I finish up our shelving needs. I’ll install the last shelf as a one-off or create a unique configuration for the kitchen using the 24” l x 85” h leftovers from one of my other installations.End of review so here are my tips: start from the bottom of the bookshelf and tighten pipe components to finger-tight as you go up. Don’t over tighten! Use some WD-40 silicone spray if you accidentally misthread or over-tighten. You’re going to want to be able to undo any joints later if you need to start again or undo it in the future. Using the WD-40 silicone spray will help (let it marinate a bit too) but you might need to use other tools to get a stuck piece free. YouTube will help and you’ll be fiiiine.Good luck and have fun and enjoy your new beautiful shelves!

Sturdy shelves fit the space
I brought 6 tier 24 inch wide and 4 tier 36 inch wide shelving units to fit between my husband’s desk and the wall so he could maximize the space in his office and have somewhere to put his books. I couldn’t find a tall unit narrower than 24 inches, so the open design of these shelves only minimally intrude into the window space, which was expected. The pipe design complements his existing decor and, overall, the shelves look good.Setup:Setup was straightforward, but when we put them together the way they were intended, the lowest shelf on each unit partially obstructed wall outlets. Based on measurements, I had expected the network plate to be partially obstructed, but thought there would be just enough clearance to keep the power outlet clear. After discussing different options, we decided to swap the top short pipes with the bottom long pipes. This lowered both sets of shelves so that the bottom shelves just barely cleared the baseboards and neither outlet was obstructed anymore (see second photo on far right and far left). This resolved, very easily, the unexpected difficulties.Cons:My husband wishes that the height of each shelf could be adjusted, but that was the only con, in my opinion. I would totally be interested in the option to buy extra pipes of different lengths and extra boards so that we could customize them more.Quality:One of the shelves seemed a little warped and the wood finish is rough, but I expect the books will cover most flaws. The color is not quite what I expected. Otherwise, they seem sturdy and securing them to the wall will prevent their tipping over.Conclusion:Overall, I like the way they look, they fit the space almost perfectly, they seem solidly built, and will last for a long time.

Great buy!
I love it! it was fairly easy to put together, everything was well wrapped and protected for shipping. It looks fantastic in our space. My one con is that the edges look lighter than the shelving side so it looks like 2 shades a little. Which we’ll fix so it matches just because i’m someone that gets fixated on the little details but besides that it’s perfect. I still give it a 5 stars though. I would say if it’s your style, get it. you’ll love it.

I love these shelves. They were so easy to install. They are so sturdy. It has made my room look so much more open and wider. The install was so so so easy. My kids even helped with it.

Sturdy, fits perfectly, and great for homes with registers.
I went with these because of the wall with a register and not being able to have a shelf tightly against the wall. Any other shelves I looked at would have left a large space for items to fall between the shelf and wall.These are perfect! There was a small chip in the smaller shelf but it was located on the under side so I put that board on the bottom can’t even see it. Solid wood, very sturdy, can be a pain tightening everything but soooooo worth it. Husband helped with putting them up on the wall, we didn’t use the anchors that came with them, as I had read some reviews saying they weren’t all that great. We used some that were “better” quality.
