Sturdy
This was a very sturdy and nice vertical garden. Was easy to put together and looks very nice in my yard. After this year I will drill the drain holes in that is the only thing I wish I would have done so I strongly recommend doing the drain holes.

Great investment!
This vertical planter is well made. I purchased it to plant herbs and a few veggies (radishes/lettuce). The planters have no drain holes so I drilled four underneath along the front edge. It did not split or crack like other brands I have drilled. The planters are good quality. I like how they sit on the side brackets. My only concern will be if one of the neighbor raccoons climb on it. Aside from that it was super easy to put together. It took me approximately 15 to 20 minutes. I might see another in my future 😋.

The best
I prefer nonplastic containers for my vegetables but if you have to use plastic, this polypropylene (PP) is one of the safer ones. This vertical garden is the best I could find because the individual boxes are deeper than most vertical gardens and it looks good and is solidly built. I chose grey because it is less harsh than the strong brown and strong green colors. Be aware that it is very tall. I am 5ft 6in and can barely reach the top but you can tilt the top box somewhat for access. I’m wondering if this vertical garden would act as a mini greenhouse if you drape some kind of flexible clear plastic over it and clamp it to the top.The only downside of this unit are the side clips which fall off easily. Not a deal breaker, though. Perhaps that issue could be fixed by a creative handy person and would love suggestions from anyone who has resolved this problem. This garden beats having to stoop to ground level for short rooted herbs and vegetables. I plan on buying 3 more.

FOOD GRADE plant bins extremely important if you’re planting vegetables
Absolutely fantastic. When I opened the box I was a little annoyed that the pipe pieces weren’t labeled (A, B, C, etc.) because they had subtle differences, but the illustrated instructions were SO precise and accurate, and everything was communicated SO well, that it wasn’t a problem at all. The illustrator was excellent with the attention to detail. So putting it together was easy. It came with a few drainage options and each had their pros and cons. We came up with a different solution: we drilled one 1/2″ hole and put in a 90-degree Liquid Tite connector and fit a short irrigation hose onto it (5″). Each one now drains into the one below it. And we fit a longer hose on the bottom tray so drain it directly out to the yard. This planter is placed atop travertine tile and we didn’t want blue-colored Miracle Gro fertilizer staining it so the hose out to the yard (less than 2 feet away) works out well. Since we were going to use ours for arugula, green onion, radish, cilantro, etc., the fact that the bins were FOOD GRADE safe was extremely important to us. The bins are tiltable and this also is a plus with our drainage system. We love this vertical raised garden planter and highly recommend it.

Balcony friendly
This is perfect for adding some life to a small area. Easy to set up, holds plenty of plants, very sturdy. My only complaint is would be that the baskets overlap more than I would like making it harder to put taller plants in. Also be aware that there are no drainage holes pre drilled, but they have outlines where you can easily drill your own.

THE BEST PURCHASE FOR HOMEGROWN PRODUCE!!
Fantastic. Growing and eating Romaine, Bistro mix, rosso small red leaf lettuce and arugula from 6 packs on my deck. SO convenient. Using “the Gardeners Bible For containers” and SF Home guides online with plant name. Bought shade clothes as it’s been 90 in May in NorCal! Put them on around 9:30AM. Everything is delicious and right outside my dining room door. No bugs. No deer foraging, etc. etc. I used the Vitex sp? Castors so I can move it. They fit perfectly under the legs. Will be able to take it with us whenever we leave and get a smaller place with a balcony as it’s solid construction. May get another one as I grow radishes, cilantro, parsley, basil and lots of other things and it takes less room than containers!!! My family is thrilled to have fresh produce only I have touched during this pandemic.

A terrific addition for the gardener with limited space
‘this item stands on my deck in a sunny corner. My daughter has already planted lettuces in the bottom bin. It’s easy to access, looks just fine. Really a good addition . We have no yard at all yet now we’re grown our own lettuce and soon, herbs. Flowers could be planted there also. Anything. Our choice is edibles. To me it feels better than the five tier clay pots for planting. This is just so accessible and easy.

Exceeded Expectations!
Wanted to try my hand at a garden this Spring but had a few issues: My yard isn’t big enough to plant a garden and for some reason, we have an abundance of bunnies running around back there this year. This vertical garden was the solution! Super easy to put together and extremely sturdy – especially once you add in the soil and plants. So far so good. I’ve already harvested my lettuces and herbs. Can’t wait for the berries and tomatoes. If I could change one thing it would be to add wheels for ease of portability.

I bought this item in November 2024 for 64 euros. This was well worth the price; I drilled holes in all pots and use it on my terrasse. It is very sturdy, and I find it very convenient to bring the most fragile ones inside during winter.Negative point is rust: when it rains, the frame fills with water and it ultimately spills rusty water. This happens much more when one or more planters are missing. I must pay attention and clean these spills before they stain the ground (stone). For the price I paid, I am nonetheless delighted. But as I come back to buy another one… 240 euros (!) is an absolute no. I cannot understand such price differences, and above 150 euros the price/performance ratio is clearly not acceptable.

I bought this vertical raised garden bed as a thank you gift for a friend who looked after my yard while I was away. It was a hit, she loved it!It’s easy to put together and very sturdy. The grey color matches her decor and adds to an already beautiful yard. The tubs are deep and generous with room for many plants and tilt forward for easy access. The tiers are staggered so each container gets just the right amount of sun and I like when you water, it flows to the tub beneath ( just drill holes as recommended in the instructions). This planter is so versatile and open to your own imaginative creativity. You can plant salad, veggies, berries, herbs or flowers. It’s a great addition to any space and gives you the ability to enjoy a garden most anywhere. I’m so impressed by the design and quality that I plan to get one as well. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Let me begin by saying that I gave Outland a bit of grief about my purchase before it even arrived, and in return I received the most prompt, courteous, and considerate customer service I’ve encountered in years. Honestly, I would place an order with this company again just to have an opportunity to deal with their team. The planter itself arrived very promptly, in spite of pandemic shipping. Though I don’t like putting the Amazon or UPS teams in harms way with these quick deliveries, I was really pleased in this instance, because it’s already planting time in my neck of the woods. The parcel is fairly heavy, and the contents are packed exceptionally efficiently. I laughed at the comment from the reviewer who said he took a claw hammer to the planter bins to pry them apart – yes, they were packed together tightly, but I’m a 60 year-old disabled woman, and I managed to get everything out of the box and ready to go with nothing but my fingers and a pocket knife to cut the sealing tape. I hope that other guy is using his kit to grow some spinach!Back to the planter – all of the parts were intact, and the package includes an excellent, very clear & easy to follow, and actually entertaining! instruction/safety manual. The entire thing, including drilling the side drainage holes, took me just over an hour to assemble by myself (please note that I really took my time, and while I’m a handy putterer, I’m no real whiz with a set of tools). “Construction” requires a Philips screwdriver and a wrench – that’s it. All of the pre-drilled holes in the frame aligned perfectly. I did have to wriggle the top of the frame quite a bit to get it down into the bottom section, but I’d rather struggle for 5 minutes over a tight, secure fit, than worry forever about whether or not the thing is safe. Once assembled, the planter is very sturdy and really attractive – even without plants in it. The lip of each planter bin fits neatly over a pivoting/rotating metal bracket on the frame, so they’re very secure, but have a little sway to them for easy access for watering, weeding, and harvesting.I drilled ¼” inch drainage holes in the fronts of the planter bins, as suggested by the instruction manual. Placing the holes in this location allows excess water from one bin to drip/flow directly into the planter box below it, reducing water waste and messes. I love this feature of the system. The suggested ¼” hole is a tad tight for the provided plugs, so I’ll have to drill them out a little more if I want to seal the planter bins up again. The inside measurements of the top of each bin are 24.5” x 7.75”, and they’re 8” deep, with a slight taper to the bottom. That gives a whopping 63 sq ft of growing surface. Each bin holds 28 litres/1 cubic foot of soil, according to the manual, so the 4 bins hold a total of 4 cubic feet/113 litres. The manual states that the weight, fully loaded with soil & plants, averages 60-70 kg / 130-160 lb.The bins in my parcel are an attractive brown – they almost take on a bronze tone in some light – and they’re very sturdy.I’m really happy that I took a chance and made this purchase. This planter is perfect for apartment/condo balconies and patios. If you want to grow your own herbs, greens, & veggies, but you have limited space, definitely consider investing in this portable garden. I’m a very picky shopper and a critical reviewer – I’d give both this product and Outland 10 stars if I could.

Product is excellent. Instructions are clear and easy to put together. The materials are sturdy. Using it for my strawberries. Drilling holes in the containers for drainage was pretty simple. Will probably be purchasing another one. You could easily grow vegetables in this if you have a small space. The containers are quite deep. Very happy with my purchase.

Good quality stand. I like that the pots pivot when watering so they always remain level to the ground. Very easy to assemble. Individual planters are easily removed if you want to relocate the stand!
